'Top Model' Rejectees Strut for CBS Soaps Three former contestants from "America's Next Top Model" will sashay across the screen in CBS daytime dramas next month.Robin -- or "Robbyne," as CBS says she's spelling her name now -- Manning, the moralizing fourth-place finisher from the show's first season, will have a cameo on "The Young and the Restless" on Tuesday, July 13. Second-season contestants Catie Anderson and Mercedes Scelba-Shorte (now going by Mercedes Yvette) will appear on "The Bold and the Beautiful" July 27 and 28.Manning is set to play a woman touring Genoa City's refurbished rec center in her "Y&R" cameo. During her "Top Model" time, she was known for refusing to do a nude photo shoot on religious grounds and keeping her distance from the more free-spirited Elyse Sewell and Adrienne Curry, who dubbed themselves "hell-hounds."Anderson and Yvette will play -- no big stretch here -- models appearing in a fashion show on "The Bold and the Beautiful." The often teary-eyed Catie, viewers learned on the "ANTM" where-are-they-now special that aired in May, has become comfortable with her short hair and newfound celebrity. She's also done some modeling work since the show ended. Mercedes, meanwhile, took part in L.A.'s Fashion Week and is hoping to use her fame to help other people who suffer from lupus, as she does.
